Reflective Pods of Pause

An idea for new public furniture consisting of a group of small, U-shaped "pods" that temporarily isolate people from their surroundings in busy urban centers. The pods, each large enough to seat several people at most, lie on an elevated platform to deter people from using the area around the pods as walkways.
