Entry #92
Parasitic Museum
Hiroshi Yamada
A proposal to convert shotengai into a museum by inserting a large hull from above. A plan to create a new type of art gallery more open to the public, while simultaneously invigorating struggling shotengai by introducing a new reason for people to visit the area. The hull-insertion idea ensures that the conversion involves minimal demolition of existing structures.
